This event is run by our Cheshire Local Leader - Susannah Simmons.

What Is Trainer Talk?

Trainer Talk is a membership community for freelance trainers, a one-stop shop for business growth. We attract trainers who are serious about growing their business with the support of like minded people who are usually experiencing the same challenges! Freelance training can be lonely. It needn't be!

Trainer Talk Locals are fun, friendly, collaborative and inspiring events which we run at various locations across the UK.

A Local is a great opportunity to:

• Discuss your business challenges - and get solutions from people who understand!

• Learn something new which will help you get more clients or improve your delivery skills

Our attendees love spending time with people who “get” what they do, the challenges, the excitement and the struggles. Being in a safe place to share ideas and help problem solve has been a big motivator to come again.

What To Expect at Trainer Talk Local - Friday 12th December, 2025

12:30 – 3:00 PM

We’re mixing things up for our final Local of the year with a lunchtime start, a sharing platter, and a slightly more relaxed format to celebrate the season while still diving into a meaningful discussion.

What To Expect:

• A delicious selection of locally sourced cheeses, cured meats, pickles, crackers, breads, and dipping oils — included in your ticket
• The usual warm welcome and chance to connect with others

Meet Your Local Leader Susannah Simmons

Hi! I’m Susannah – your Trainer Talk Local Leader for South Cheshire.

As business, fitness and lifestyle coach, I help ambitious solo business owners take better care of themselves, their customers, and their business—because you can’t have a flourishing business without a flourishing business owner.

I first left corporate life in 2013 without a plan and followed some well-meant (but expensive) advice. By 2016, I realised I needed a great support network of people who truly understood the highs and lows of freelance life—and that’s when I found Sharon and the Trainer Talk community. I wouldn’t be without it!

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband, Dom, and teenage daughter, Harriet—probably enjoying great food, a cocktail (mocktail for Harriet of course), or catching up on the latest Netflix or Disney+ series. To unwind, I love a good walk and a great book (though not at the same time!).
