This session is for those who deliver training to Early Years providers - in particular Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) has recentrly made safeguarding reforms that will commence in September 2025.
The Safeguarding Children Partnerships (SCPs) of Leicester and Leicestershire & Rutland (LLR) want to ensure that those who deliver safeguarding training to Early Years Providers - in particular DSL training - are including the correct and updated information and therefore have provided this session which will include:
- A summary of the EYFS safeguarding reforms
- The expectations of the LLR SCPs of what will be included in training delivery
- An update on the SCPs Business Plan Priorities
- An overview of current local safeguarding issues
Any trainer is welcome to attend the session to appraise themselves of the changes.
