This course will be delivered by Sprouts (FKA Little Sprouts).

Participants will build an understanding on the importance of safe food handling practices and keeping foods safe. Topics covered include:

  • How Bacteria Causes Food Poisoning
  • Hygiene Control
  • Temperature Control
  • Cleaning and Disinfection
  • Person Hygiene
  • Food Hygiene and the Law
  • Bacteria
  • Kitchen Design and Layout

The QA Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (QCF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those working, or planning to work, in the food catering industry.

The course takes up to 6 hours including a test paper (30 multiple choice questions).

Please note that while the majority of our courses are free for members of the VCSE sector to attend, a £25 cancellation fee will be charged if you cancel your place within 48 hours of the training taking place or you fail to attend. In cases of training taking place over a number of days, you will be charged £25 for each session missed.
