The field of Neuroscience influences the work of Coaches. Appreciation of the underpinning science develops and expands coaches ability to apply coaching tools and techniques more effectively. Our guest speakers Liz Barnes and Carol Whitaker have both completed a Post Graduate course in Neuroscience for Coaches and will share some key aspects of Neuroscience that can be used to explore a variety of coaching scenerios. Neuroscience also lends a depth and credibility to Coaching which can be very useful in evolving environments and helping to sell the benefits of coaching to organisations.
The session will be aimed at helping coaches understand the clues neuroscience provides about what is going on in their clients minds and the impact this can have and it will help coaches work with their clients to better understand how their emotions, feelings, thinking and behaviour are linked. In this way clients can more clearly understand what it takes for them to adapt and overcome barriers to change and personal development.
Dr Liz Barnes has a wide range of business experience and currently works for Johnson Matthey plc working with individuals and leadership teams as a coach, mentor and talent development specialist helping the business grow its leaders for now and in the future.
