The event will explore briefly Mind-sets, Group Dynamics, Psychological Transition, Personality, Relationship, Behaviours, Learning, Knowing, Doing and Psychological Levels. We will do this by using a ‘map’ of the territory helping to segment and space the many different and interconnected areas we all experience one way or another in organisations, groups and as individuals. With more than 1,000 published Psychometrics in the market, this space gets confusing very quickly. During the talk, Rod Will will share what tools he now practices. During the past 5 years, he realised there was a gap in the tools available and as a result has developed two new tools: The Technology Adoption Audit and the Innovation Audit. The latter explores Group Dynamics and Organisational Character immediately surrounding a group. A derivative of this tool will be available as part of this talk so participants get to experience what can be measured and what insights can therefore emerge.
Rod Willis FRSA MSc MBA a founding director of Assentire Ltd. He develops new ways to explore the relationship between Group Dynamics and Organisational Character. Systematically approaching Behavioural Change across organisations, groups and within individuals. He spends much of his time helping others understand what measurement is and is not. Informed by many roles, Electronics Engineering, a Manager in Hi-tech International Corporate and many M&A related experiences. He has a good sense of what works and what doesn’t and is a facilitator and coach for The Management Shift and the Windsor Leadership Trust development programmes. He often shares what he sees as our biggest challenge in organisational life, ‘how to avoid the tyranny of meaningless metrics’, including the practice of using Psychometrics & Profiles in questionable ways.
Rod is a member of many associations including the APM, CIPD, ABP, BPS and registered with Psychological Testing Centre (PTC) and a recommended practitioner for the Legal Education and Training Group (LETG).
