This session will explore the concept of supervision in coaching and examine its place within reflective coaching practice. Increasingly professional coaches are being required to demonstrate engagement with supervision with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and Association for Coaching highlighting this in their recently launched joint Global Code of Ethics for Coaches and Mentors. The session will include:
- An introduction to and exploration of models and definitions of Coaching Supervision
- An opportunity to engage in some peer supervision
- A discussion forum to explore the possibility of creating a local community of reflective practice for coaches
This session is aimed at people who are working as coaches, either independently or as part of an internal corporate coaching network who wish to develop and enhance their reflective practice.
This session will be co facilitated by Sally Bernham and Dorothy Foote both of whom work as executive coaches, supervisors and leadership development consultants in a range of public and private sector organisations. They are also currently working with the University of Cambridge delivering Certificate and Diploma programmes in Coaching for a global student population.
