Event description

Description

One of the fastest growing social media platforms in the world, Twitter can help you directly engage with your audiences, gain supporters and share links, resources and information in real time.

If you are considering Twitter for your group, this practical course with hands-on exercises and discussion, will teach you the basics of setting up your profile, deciding who to follow and why, and start online conversations that count.

You will leave this course with:

  • a profile set up for your organisation

  • the knowledge and confidence to start communicating with current and potential stakeholders

  • top tips on how to manage your time

Outcomes:

By the end of the session you’ll know how to:

  • Recognise how charities and community organisations are using Twitter for good

  • Create an organisation profile on Twitter

  • Create tweets and shareable content

  • Apply best practice in communicating using Twitter

  • Start planning your Twitter strategy

Who is this course for?

This workshop is ideal for any member of staff or volunteer who wants to explore how their organisation could use Twitter. No prior knowledge is needed.

The course will start from the basics of setting up an account and starting to create content, so it is not appropriate for someone who has been using Twitter for a while or wants to use an existing account more effectively.

If you are unsure if this is the right session for you, please get in touch before booking.

If you need guidance on whether Twitter is the right channel to reach your audiences through, you should contact Superhighways before booking.
