About this Event

Working with the Environmental Services Association (ESA), Slave-Free Alliance have designed a training course focused specifically on the risk of modern slavery within the waste and resource management sector.

Designed for:

For those working within the waste and resource management sector with responsibility for recruitment, procurement, operational site management or management of labour agencies.

Overview:

Our training is delivered by industry experts with real life experience of modern slavery. By the end of the training you will understand:

  • The current activities associated with modern slavery in the UK
  • The points of risk where modern slavery affects the waste & resource sector
  • The signs and indicators of modern slavery specific to this sector
  • Missed opportunities to prevent modern slavery within the sector using real life case studies
  • The legislative measures required for business to prevent and respond to modern slavery
  • An opportunity to network and share with others from across the same industry

Workshop cost:

The cost is £220 (+VAT) per delegate. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

All tickets are non-refundable for cancellations unless 30 days before the event. Tickets can be transferred.

About Slave-Free Alliance:

Slave-Free Alliance is a not for profit organisation which is part of the charity Hope for Justice, who were recently involved in the largest modern slavery court case in UK history.

Our team is a professional multi-disciplinary team with real life experience of modern slavery. We have real life experience of how traffickers have targeted and infiltrated the business within the waste sector.

Is my ticket refundable or transferable? Tickets will be refundable up to 30 days before the event. Within 30 days, tickets can be transferred. If you need to transfer your ticket please contact us at info@slavefreealliance.org or 0330 008 8000

What are my transport/ parking options getting to the event? There is onsite parking but this cannot be guaranteed. As an alternative there is a pay & display car park at Cannon Hill Park which is near the venue and accepts by cash and pay by phone. By rail the venue is only 2.5 miles from Birmingham New Street Station.
