Tramper Hire
Overview
The Tramper can be used by anyone aged 14+ with reduced mobility who is a member of Countryside Mobility on a 2-mile long 'tadpole' shaped way marked route here on Cleeve Common. If you aren’t a member, don’t worry, you can sign up to the programme when you book.
Members can access the entire Countryside Mobility network of 60+ beauty spots and outdoor attractions predominantly in South West England – including these in Gloucestershire.
Find out more about membership with Countryside Mobility here.
Don’t worry if you’ve never used a mobility scooter before – many users are first timers but find that in the countryside this can enable them to explore with friends and family. If you’re unsure read more here.
If you are not a member of Countryside Mobility
Not a problem, you can sign up now at the same time as making your booking. Your membership will then be confirmed after completing a short introduction to the Tramper when come to hire at Cleeve Common. We can’t let non-members use the Tramper, even if they already use a mobility scooter because they won’t be insured.
How to book:
- Pick your hire slot – Scroll up to ‘Select date and time’ and choose when you’d like to hire
- Reserve – Click the red ‘Reserve a Spot’ button
- Buy your membership – In the ‘Registration’ section, next to the question “Have current Countryside Mobility membership?” leave it as “0” (zero). Scroll down to the ‘Donations” section. Decide the membership you wish to buy:
- Single use £3
- Two week pass £5
- Annual membership £15
Then click the red ‘Reserve a spot button. On the Registration page, leave the membership box at zero and enter the cost of whichever membership option you’ve chosen into the ‘Donation’ box. Then proceed to check out.
Please note that we cannot sign you up in person when you arrive at the golf club and will therefore not be able to loan the Tramper if you are not a member.
If you are already a member of Countryside Mobility
Just select the 'already a member' ticket type by changing the zero to a one, then click ‘ Reserve a spot’ and proceed to check out. Please remember to bring your proof of membership along with you when you come to pick up the Tramper from the golf club. Without this we will not be able to loan you the Tramper as we have no way of joining members on site, in person.
