Trams for the Future - it's a moving story
Come join us at CRICH TRAMWAY VILLAGE for an exciting event all about the future of trams in the UK. The ‘Trams for the future’ discussion will be led by author, journalist and historian Christian Wolmar (Britain’s leading transport commentator). It’s a timely reminder and an opportunity to put into context the exciting development ushered in by the Chancellor’s recent spending announcements on light rail systems around the country.
This evening event is hosted by the National Tramway Museum, Britain’s leading centre for the study and appreciation of the historic role of the light rail mass transit system. We are based at Crich, on the fringe of the Derbyshire Peak District, and are a leading attraction in the local visitor economy.
As well as invited guests, the event will include sale tickets, the proceeds from which will be put towards our charity’s main fundraising appeal this year – the creation of a new ‘Access tram’ for Crich. And our famous 'Red Lion' pub will also be open afterwards to allow you to continue the discussion.
This is a must-attend event for tram enthusiasts and anyone curious about the future of public transport. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to learn and explore!
