The University of Sunderland Business School has co-created, with a range of employers and the Chartered Management Institute, a Degree Apprenticeship Programme which combines practical work based learning, business education and ongoing professional development that results in Chartered Manager Status.
We are launching a series of Business Luncheon events to enable employers to learn about the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship. These relaxed informative sessions will be held at Sunderland Business School, Sir Tom Cowie Campus, between 12:30 to 2:30, lunch will be provided.

The Level 6 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship provides an opportunity for businesses to up skill their workforce to create a stronger, more competitive organisation.
Apprentices can be new employees with no management experience or existing managers who require formal development.
Apprentices work full-time while studying towards a BA (Hons) Management and Leadership Practice and CMI Level 5 Diploma. University of Sunderland has a flexible approach to study, with online and on-campus study on our Campuses in Sunderland, London Canary Wharf and flexible delivery across the country based on employer demand.
The University of Sunderland is one of only 18 Universities in the UK chosen to receive Government funding to develop a suite of degree apprenticeship programmes – due to its track record of developing one of the first degree apprenticeships offered in the UK, the BSc Digital and Technology Solutions.
The Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship Programme is available from May 2017 to coincide with the introduction of the Governments Apprenticeship Levy. Larger employers will be able to use their Apprenticeship Levy to cover the cost of tuition fees, SME’s not subject to the levy will be eligible for Government funding of 90% towards the costs of apprenticeship training.
