Event description

Description

I am pleased to invite you to take part in an event we are co-hosting with Q&R and Erskine Nash on 27th June 2018 between 10.30am - 1.30pm.

The event is open to senior managers working within membership organisations or associations, unfortunately it is not open to suppliers or commercial consultancies. To register for one of the limited availability places please click the register button above.

The title of the event is ‘Transformation in the Face of New Threats’ and will include a superb panel of Chief Executive speakers to be chaired by Q&R. Our illustrious panel of speakers includes:

Ian Wright, Chief Executive, Food and Drink Federation
The Food and Drink Federation (FDF) is the voice of the UK food and drink industry, the largest manufacturing sector in the country. We account for 19% of the total manufacturing sector by turnover and employ over 400,000 people in the UK across 7,000 businesses. We are an incredibly diverse sector, speaking on behalf of global brands and thriving small businesses.

Sue Froggatt, Chief Executive, Sue Froggatt Training and Consultancy
Sue has
30+ years experience of marketing and has worked predominately in the membership sector either training, speaking, undertaking research projects or as a consultant in the UK and overseas. She has helped many organisations help develop and grow their membership base. Sue is a firm believer in practical, commonsense approaches, backed up by evidence. Sue will be talking about 'Association First’ which is about thinking through the range of relationships your organisation has, one of which is membership and how that might impact on transformation.

Sean Riches, Director, Erskine Nash
Back by popular demand is a 75 minute workshop from Sean who specialises in assisting membership bodies and associations around the world with transformation programmes.

James Jeynes, Chief Executive, MemNet
James has been a leading light in the membership over the last 10 years and will be present to add valuable inputs to the discussions. His experience from within the sector around the themes have constantly been a great source of additional value in these discussion forums.

We will be inviting Membership Professionals drawn from the great and the good and anticipate an audience of around 20-30 people. Speakers will form a panel and open the proceedings feeding back on some Pulse research that we (Q&R) will have conducted among 1000+ member orgs in the run up to the event.

Results will be shared with you in advance to help you shape your thoughts. We tend not to use any AV and speakers keep opening comments to 10-15 minutes to give an overview of their role and biog and to set the scene for what stage of transformation they are experiencing within their membership organisation or association or to share what they have been through in the past. We like to encourage authenticity and story-telling with a ‘warts and all’ honesty! Audience members will be invited to ask questions.

It will be the fourth event of its kind that we have run and is intended to serve as an opportunity to share best practice, to provide networking opportunities across different types of sectors and to encourage leaders to take time out of the day to day to think about what is working well and where there is room for improvement when seen in context of what others are doing.

The format will be as follows:

10.30-11.00 - Registration and refreshments
11.00-11.45 - Speaker panel and Q&As
11.45-1.00pm - Transformation Workshop
1.00-1.30pm - Buffet Lunch and Networking

Many thanks for taking the time to consider our invitation.
