About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 45 minutes

Tim Newell is a former prison governor and the co-founder of Escaping Victimhood, a charity offering residential workshops to those impacted by serious crime. After the trial has ended, some victims continue to feel stuck in their grief and unable to function as they once had been. The workshops help them to find a way through to make changes in their lives using the Enneagram.

Sue Braithwaite is a trustee of the UK charity the Enneagram Inside and a trained facilitator for the Enneagram Prison Project which has been running successfully for over a decade in US prisons but is relatively new in the UK. The course helps those in custody understand why they do what they do by developing their capacity for self-awareness, self-regulation and self-compassion. With the Enneagram at its centre, the course is informed by research into bad childhood experiences, the impact of trauma and the roots of addiction.

Further information on what the Enneagram is.

The workshop will be followed by a bring-and -share lunch.

The event is free, and open to anyone with an interest in criminal justice.
