Event description
Transforming Britain After Brexit is a national tour to discuss and debate the left case for leaving the EU

About this Event

Brexit has divided a nation. But Europe has been divided for decades. Instead of deriding Brexit as an ill-informed nationalist or even racist vote, this event will put forward arguments with the interests of working people – the majority of citizens – at the centre of the case for a democratic and progressive Brexit.

Come along and hear leading figures discuss how the British economy can be restructured after Brexit to benefit working people.

Speakers who have agreed to support the tour, subject to availability include:

Professor of Economics Costas Lapavitsas (SOAS), ex-Syriza MP

Tariq Ali (New Left Review), speaker and commentator

Grace Blakeley (New Statesman), Left-wing economics commentator

Larry Elliott (The Guardian), Guardian Economics Editor

Maurice Glasman (Blue Labour and The Full Brexit), Labour peer and founder of Blue Labour

And many more...

Prof Lapavitsas will be discussing his new best-selling book "The Left Case Against The EU" (Polity Press).

Come along, share, debate and join the movement.

This national tour is sponsored by Labour Leave, Polity, Trade Unionists Against the EU, the European Research Network on Social and Economic Policy, and The Full Brexit.

The hashtag for the tour is #LeftBrexitTour.
