Aims of event
Sharing information about changes to services which are helping to make the lives of people with a learning disability, autism or both better.
Looking at how changes and improvement can carry on after the learning disability programme has ended.


Who should attend?
People who are part of transforming care partnerships (TCPs). This includes senior responsible officers, and people from clinical commissioning groups, local authorities and voluntary groups.


The programme:
We want to help TCPs share who and what is making a difference so that other TCPs can learn and together we can make sure that progress is happening everywhere.
The programme will include presentations, sessions for people to join in with, and the chance to meet people from other TCPs.


Themes:

  • Improving community services
  • Care and treatment closer to home for children and young people
  • Homes and jobs in the community
  • Staff with the skills they need for the future
  • People not going into hospital unless they really need to and plans being made for them to go home as soon as possible
  • Making money work for people with a learning disability, autism or both and the people who plan and pay for their care
