The Strategy Unit NHP Analytics team’s open-source demand model has been named the 2025 winner of the Florence Nightingale Award for Excellence in Health and Care Analytics.

Join this Midlands Analyst Network Huddle to hear how the model was developed, why it was created, what it does, and the lessons learnt from the team behind it.

Led by Chris Beeley, Head of Data Science at the Strategy Unit, this session will explore:

✅ Why the model was built

✅ What the model does, and its potential for future planning

✅ How the development team approached the challenge

✅ Lessons learnt along the way

This is an introduction - not a full technical walkthrough - designed to give you a clear understanding of the model’s purpose and potential.

Open to all health and care analysts, decision-makers, and anyone with an interest in demand and capacity planning.

📅 Date: Thursday 4th September

🕚 Time: 11:00 – 12:00

📍 Online (free to attend)
