Event description
An evening on the 100th anniversary of the founding of Save the Children, in the Cambridge college that inspired its founders.

About this Event

Join us for a celebration of Dorothy Buxton and Eglantyne Jebb, the women who faced arrest and criticism to found Save the Children.

Guest speakers, Dr Peta Dunstan and Clare Mulley, biographers of Buxton and Jebb respectively, will speak about these remarkable women.

Dorothy Buxton was a student at Newnham College, and Eglantyne Jebb worked closely with Newnham College members in her pioneering social work in Cambridge.

Please join us from 5.15pm for a drink and to visit Newnham College's celebrated gardens, before the event from 6pm-7pm.
