A MINDinMIND Interview with one of the world's most accomplished child psychotherapists

About this event

An Audience with Tessa Baradon

LIVE MINDinMIND interview

Saturday Sept 25th, 3-5pm in UK (10am-1230 EST USA)

A recording will be available for all ticket holders

Tessa Baradon's work leading the Parent Infant Project at the Anna Freud Centre and in initiatives around the world, has shown how even the most traumatised babies and their families can be helped.

In this interview with Jane O'Rourke for MINDinMIND, hear how she works, with videos from her consulting room showing her transformational therapeutic work.

Tessa will share how her framework can deepen our understanding of the communication of babies and their relationships with caregivers.

We will hear clinical cases to illustrate the therapeutic process that is involved and why 'repair' is an important part of the work for professional teams as well as the families they are helping.

Tessa will share her experience of working with vulnerable and at-risk populations such as babies who are born to mothers in prison.

Tessa's work has taken her all over the world.  She will discuss why there is much to learn from the wisdom of different cultures.

And Tessa will share the pivotal role 'daddiness' can have in children's lives.

Organizer MINDinMIND

Organizer of Transforming Traumatised Babies: An Audience with Tessa Baradon

We are a group of professionals working in the service of children and their families. We want to make a difference to the mental health of children by sharing best clinical practice and ideas we have found to be most helpful for the children we work with. Our thinking draws on the latest research in psychoanalysis, attachment theory, neuroscience and developmental ideas.

We are bringing a curious, open mind and depth of thought to child and family psychotherapy. We would like to hear about how your therapeutic service is helping children, wherever you are in the world. Connect with us: contact@mindinmind.org.uk
