Transforming Work : the Conference
Sat 14 October 2017, 10:00 – 16:00 BST
Taking your faith to work?
The modern workplace is often a place of pressure and competition. Trying to take our faith to work is not a simple remedy for stress-free productivity: it can easily seem only to make matters worse. We can end up feeling demoralised and dejected. We can resolve to try harder. We can end up back where we started. Is there a way to break through this cycle and find our experience transformed?
The keynote speaker is Paul Williams, CEO, Bible Society.
Seminar topics include shaping corporate ethics (in partnership with Theos), managing people in the workplace, handling workplace stress, working in frontline services, transforming the daily commute and starting up new workplace groups.
Seminars are led by local facilitators including Major General Tim Cross (Retd.), Revd Canon Julie Gittoes (Canon for Education, Guildford Cathedral), Suzette Jones (Diocesan Health and Wellbeing Adviser), Revd Hilary Johnson, (former Senior Chaplain, St George's Hospital Trust, Tooting) and Michael Hodson (Chair of Faith in Business Quarterly).
NOTE: EVENTS MAY BE CANCELLED IF THERE IS INSUFFICIENT TAKE-UP AND WE REGRET REFUNDS CANNOT BE GIVEN IN ANY OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES.
