This event is being held in celebration of Transgender Day of Visibility (TDoV), which is an event held annually on 31st of March. TDoV was started in 2009 to highlight the challenges faced by transgender people in society and celebrate their successes and achievements. This flashtalk event has been arranged to put the spotlight of some of University of Liverpool’s transgender staff members, who will be discussing a topic that they feel represents ‘transgender visibility.’ The topics are a mix of personal stories from each of the speakers and advice on how to navigate the world as a transgender person.
