About this Event

Norwich Opportunity Area warmly invite you to attend our conference on transitions; a fresh approach for Norwich.

Conference programme includes:

  • Guest speaker, Matt Bromley, who will be speaking on transitions. Matt Bromley is an education writer and advisor with twenty years’ experience in teaching and leadership including as a head teacher. He writes for various newspapers and magazines and is the author of numerous best-selling books. His education blog, voted one of the UK’s most influential, receives over 50,000 unique visitors a year. Matt regularly speaks at national and international conferences and events, and provides education advice to charities, government agencies, training providers, colleges and multi-academy trusts.
  • Introduction to our new Transitions Lead, Matt Wells, with information and discussion on plans for one common transition week in 2020.
  • Helena Bunn, Senior Psychologist (Education) at Norfolk County Council, will be talking about the current work that is happening on their SEN transition project and how this model could be used across the NOA. Helena coordinates specific projects focused on team and professional development . She is responsible for delivering direct operational work involving children, parents, schools, health and social care, voluntary organisations and other agencies involved in children's development.
