About the film:

When two artists in Walthamstow set out to take their street off the grid, they spark a solar-powered energy revolution.

Inspired by the spirit of lockdown mutual aid, artist-activists Hilary Powell and Dan Edelstyn decide to transform their street into a community energy powerhouse – a bold prototype for sustainable living.

Their journey is anything but smooth: from rooftop sleep-outs and ambitious fundraising to persuading neighbours and even launching a bid for a Christmas number one single.

By turns funny and heartwarming, Power Station is both a vibrant portrait of a local neighbourhood and a charming testament to the power of art, activism and imagination to inspire change.

🌍 Join us for an evening of film, community and conversation about how we can reimagine our energy future.
