Transition Careers Event by Wood Plc and AFBE UK
Date and time
Transition is a career workshop that equips students and recent graduates with the skills required to scale through the employment process.
About this event
The Transition programme was initiated by AFBE-UK in Aberdeen in 2012 and has since been very effective in equipping over 2500 mentees with the tools they need not just to get into the workplace but to thrive. According to a survey carried out in 2016, 70% of people who have attended the Transition programme secured a job in a relevant role within 12 months for reasons directly attributable to the Transition programme. Over 90% said it made them more confident in interviews.
This edition of the Transition event is organised with Spirit Energy, an E&P company based in the UK and tailored to share success tips for employment in a dynamic industry.
This will be a 2 part session where attendees will firstly have the opportunity to listen in on leading professionals from Spirit Energy such as the HR Director, Dean Marks and participate in the following sessions:
Brand You by Ross Davidson - In this session, you'll learn how to comfortably promote yourself online, drawing out your strengths and experiences to set you apart for potential employers.
Interviewee workshop by Ashley McDonald- In this talk, attendees will get an insight into steps of the recruitment process and how employers choose their candidates.
The second part of the event will be a series of mock interview sessions with Spirit Energy staff, where attendees will get a chance to experience an interview with a UK based E&P company.
This event is free for all, however the interview sessions will be limited to the first 20 registrations.
