Free online session for parents and carers in Suffolk to help families prepare for the transition to secondary school.
About this event
SENDIASS is offering a free, relaxed online session for parents and carers in Suffolk to support you and your child with the transition from primary to secondary school.
The session will be supported by a specialist teacher from the Communication and Interaction service which often supports schools with transition.
This was coproduced with parents and carers and will explore:
- Information to look for to help you and your child prepare for working with school around transition
- Transition meetings and resources to help you and your child share your views
- Additional transition support and considerations for pupils with SEND
Attendees will also be sent an additional set of slides to help families with empowering their children, building their confidence and independence.
Anyone who books on will be sent links to a pre-recording of the session and helpful resources.
You don’t have to use your video or microphone if you don’t want to in the session – you can just listen or use ‘chat’ if you prefer.
