Event description
Given the year we've had, what to do about a job, or a project, may be more on your mind than usual. When do we hold and when do we move?

About this Event

I know that transitions can look more important and also more challenging than 'usual' at the moment. uncertainty has been thrust right up in our faces and while some of us relish the opportunity for review and change, it can be exhausting to always feel as if every decision is momentous, and to not know where our choices will take us.

Should I stay or should I go? Should I continue with this project, or make a change? Is now the right time for bold change, or time to stay with what I know?

There's no ideal answer, of course, but I want this session to take a look at the practicality of making change, or being in transition. What's important to you? How do you get a better sense of what you want to do? How do you stick with your decisions once you've made them? Or maybe now is not the time to be making big decisions?

You may be someone thinking about a personal transition, or you may be weighing up your projects at work or on behalf of your organisation. How do you make 'strategic' choices in a time when it looks as if all guarantees went out of the window?

If these questions, or related ones, are on your mind, or you're aware they may be on the minds of the people around you, please do join this interactive small group session to share experience and practice some new ways of looking at transition.

This is for you if you're in any kind of leadership role, in a traditional (or non-traditional) corporate role, a non-profit, government or a public body, or as a volunteer, maybe you have a business or a side-business, you're exploring something that feels like more of a mission for you, or you are in transition, perhaps completing a post-graduate leadership or MBA programme (with experience behind you).

You are curious and want to explore what it means to be a leader, especially right now, in 2021, when we have an unprecedented opportunity to do things differently.

You want to do leadership, not just talk about it, and these sessions are the perfect place to come as you are, with no expectations, no 'scorecard', and practice what we are learning so that you can take the pieces you want and apply back at 'the office'.

While the event has a clear agenda and set of activities, the topic is a way of entering a discussion, rather than constraining it, and the direction will be guided by the questions you bring, and the issues and challenges you are facing right now.

This event is part of a series that will be released soon, so please follow here if you want to continue to develop your understanding of personal and professional leadership or if you can't make this particular time but want to attend future events.

What happens after I register?

You will receive an email with a zoom link for joining the online seminar.

I can't attend that specific time, are the events recorded?

I'm afraid not. The series is an opportunity for exploration in real time with other leaders, facilitated by a professional coach. It isn't a 'teaching' lecture and, while there may be some context setting for each event, there is very little content beyond what the participants bring.

Can I invite other people?

Yes, please do! If you find the format helpful and interesting then you might want to continue with a similar 'reflective space' inside your own organisation beyond the series.

I'm not in the UK, can I attend?

Yes! The events are online, on zoom, and you can attend from anywhere in the world. Please note that the times are in GMT and take care to check the conversion to your local time as not all parts of the world move to daylight saving at the same time (or in the same direction, or even at all!).

I have a question that isn't answered here

Please follow this link and use the contact form to ask any question that isn't answered here, or to propose topics for possible future series.
