Event description

Description

An evening exploring the importance of transitions and helpful resources for continuing to disciple young people as they transition between primary and secondary education.

Transitions can be hard but also exciting moments to negotiate. In church ministry they can often be times when contact is lost with individuals. Finding effective ways to transition and support children, young people and families through age appropriate groups and activities, as well as through their developmental and life changes is important.

This training will help unpack some of the difficulties and encourage you to think strategically about how to support successful transitions.

The course will highlight helpful resources and ideas including ‘Identity’ a resource developed by Mid Norfolk Kidz Klub aimed to help individuals transition from children’s groups and activities to those for young people as they prepare to move from primary into high school. Identity covers all basic areas of Christian faith and theology so that young people have firm foundations to build on later in life.
