Event Information
Description
We are delighted to invite you to join us for the official launch of the Transmission Project. The event will be held on Tuesday 23 January 2018, 4pm – 7pm, at the University Central Lancashire (UCLan) Media Factory, Preston.
The programme will take the form of an innovative approach to building leadership capacity and capabilities within the advanced manufacturing, engineering, creative and digital sectors. It aims to add value and bring efficiency to businesses by embracing the competitive advantages that will accrue from a more digitalised economy.
The University is launching this support programme for the SME community within Lancashire to help prepare for the global effect of increasingly impactful developments in new technology. By raising awareness of the opportunities of the digital age, this free at point of contact support will act as a catalyst in helping to unlock the future productivity potential within these sectors.
Situated within the Centre for SME Development at UCLan this initiative will utilise both industry and academic expertise to:
- Demonstrate the value of the programme in creating bespoke business solutions
- Build on current awareness of the applications for digital technologies
- Illustrate the organisational impacts of doing business in the digital age
- Engage with leaders in different sectors to develop each other and their businesses
As part of the more intensive Transmission+ programme, access to simulated Non-Executive Director input for businesses with high growth potential will be available.
