Supporting social workers qualified overseas to practise in the UK
About this event
The event aims to support international social workers who have moved/will be moving to the UK and desire to practise in this country to
(1) familiarise with the different national professional standards and the correspondent regulators
(2) find connections and insights from hearing stories and experiences of practising social workers qualified in Hong Kong and Romania
In this event, Dr Sui-Ting Kong1 and Dr Jane Shears2 will introduce the new professional development and training plans, co-produced by academics and practitioners in the BASW UK Network of Social Work Practitioner Research, that aim to support overseas qualified social workers in the UK.
