Event description

Description

Children from disadvantaged backgrounds are five times more likely to be killed on the roads as pedestrians than children from more affluent backgrounds. How can society tackle such inequity? The presenters of this event discuss one approach which seeks to improve equity outcomes from transport planning. The presentation will be followed by audience debate on this challenging topic.

The speakers will be Paul Pilkington, Senior Lecturer in Public Health, UWE, and Adrian Davis, visiting Professor of Transport & Health, UWE and SHINE Co-Director.

Please note: the venue is on one level, with street level access and has disabled toilet facilities. It does not have a hearing induction loop but microphones are provided for all events, should they be required.
