Event Information
Description
Smartklub Leeds : Transportation & Air Quality
The Opportunity:
Leeds City Council are planning to make and attract investments in new alternative fuel infrastructure - such as gas filling stations and electric vehicle charging points. There are also emerging projects to use data at city scale.
This workshop's objective is to explore these opportunities and maximise the interventions for the widest possible benefit.
We will be setting out the challenges to the city, potential projects, funding approaches and timeframes and then working in groups to establish and test possible scenarios to address these complex issues for the city, and identify deliverable projects that can really make an impact.
The objectives of this workshop are to use the framework of SmartKlub Leeds and co-produce project plans that will deliver better transportation at city scale and reduce air pollution.
Who should come & what will we do?
You should attend if you would like to influence how these projects are developed for the benefit of the City.
You could be energy system designers, urbanists, transportation specialists, transport or logistics business, fleet owners or managers, technolgists or technology businesses, energy infrastructure investors or anyone with an interest in the transportation system of Leeds.
We will work to rapidly create the concepts of possible deliverable projects that we need for Leeds.
Overview of SmartKlub
SmartKlub Leeds commenced its work in April 2015 with a kick off and introduction workshop on 22nd April. it builds on the work of the Leeds Energy Forum which included a number of widely attended group workshops and smaller focus groups.
In simple terms SmartKlub Leeds has been established to work to turn the collective intelligence from the Leeds Energy Forum and the work of SmartKlub Leeds into a project pipeline of energy projects for the City. Information on our previous work is on these links, Setting the Agenda, Future Energy For Leeds, Tower Blocks.
