Description

This interdisciplinary symposium, featuring leading scholars from a wide range of fields including literature, film, performance, and art history explores the significance of trash, waste, and excess to LGBTQ+ lives and cultures.

Confirmed participants: Dr Fiona Anderson (Art History, Newcastle), Dr Benjamin Bateman (English, Edinburgh), Dr Elena Gorfinkel (Film, KCL), Dr Abeyamí Ortega (Media, Loughborough), Dr Owen Parry (Performance, IASH), Dr Christopher Schmidt (English, CUNY), Dr Karl Schoonover (Film, Warwick), & Dr Amy Tooth Murphy (Oral History, RHUL). Full programme and paper titles will be released in advance of the event. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
