We’re excited to invite grassroots organisations, youth workers, and community leaders to take part in a brand-new training programme designed to strengthen support for LGBTQI+ young people across Manchester.
Delivered in partnership with 42nd Street as part of the Making Manchester Fairer Kickstarter Project, this training explores how trauma, identity, and inequality intersect — with a focus on creating safer, more inclusive spaces for LGBTQI+ young people aged 11–25.
What you’ll gain:
- A trauma-informed understanding of the unique challenges faced by LGBTQI+ young people.
- Practical tools for responding to crisis and supporting resilience.
- Strategies for embedding inclusive practice into your organisation.
- Space to reflect, share, and learn alongside other grassroots and VCSE practitioners
This training is free, fully funded by Manchester City Council, and open to grassroots organisations in the 15 most deprived boroughs of Manchester. Your time will be recognised and reimbursed (£15 ph) to help remove barriers to participation.
