Frequently asked questions

Is there parking nearby?

We would recommend parking at the Trumpington or Babraham Park and Ride. There is a bus that runs every 10 minutes to the Trust. Closest bus stop is Robinson way. You can show your staff badge for a free bus ticket, if working for CUH. On site parking is possible, however is charged at high rates.

Will there be any refreshments or food provided?

Lunch, tea, coffee and snacks are provided throughout the day. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements via email: cuh.physioed@nhs.net when you book.

Other transport methods

There is a train station in the centre of Cambridge. Please get off at Cambridge Station NOT Cambridge North. You can then get a bus from outside the station (on the left as you exit the station) to Addenbrookes.

Do I have to wear my uniform?

No. You are welcome to come comfortable yet professional.

Do I have to stay for the whole day?

No, you are welcome to leave as you wish however please register between 08:15 and 08:45 to guarantee entry and a certificate.

What if I need to stay overnight?

There are plenty of hotels in Cambridge with easy transport to our site.

How much will it cost for me to attend this event?

The Early Bird ticket sale will run until the 6th of July, where the ticket price will be £80. Thereafter, tickets will cost £100.

Can I get a refund, if unable to attend?

You can get a full refund 2 months prior to the event, then 50% refund up to 2 weeks prior to the event. After this, you will unfortunately not be entitled to one.

How to get to the CRUK?

CRUK Cambridge Centre, Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, University of Cambridge, Li Ka Shing Centre, Robinson Way, Cambridge, CB2 0RE.

Do all buses stop at CRUK?

You can take a bus to the Hospital grounds from Trumpington Park and Ride, Babraham Park and Ride and the train station. Please be aware, not all buses stop in from of CRUK (Robinson Way), you might need to get off at the closest bus stop and walk a few minutes to get to the venue.
