Event description

Description

Traumatic experiences are common, especially in users of mental health services. Understanding the needs of people who have experienced trauma can help our staff and services be more effective. A proportion of people will meet criteria for PTSD and Complex PTSD. Ensuring these difficulties are identified and people offered evidence based care and treatment is important across services and in developing care pathways. This meeting will be an opportunity for stakeholders across SPFT services to come together to consider the role of trauma and PTSD in our services, to learn from developments in various parts of the trust, and to establish relevant associated work plans. These are likely to include, but not be limited to, an assessment guideline and a PTSD menu of care and interventions. This event is hosted by the mood and anxiety CAG, but this work is relevant across CDSs and CAGs.
