This distinctive training session is the second of two, that introduces practitioners to the key principles within a trauma-informed approach. Designed to develop knowledge, insight and relational capacities when working with participants who have lived experience of trauma. The session is interactive and holistic, using the arts to explore both theory and practice within a trauma-informed approach.

This session will:

  • Explore the physical impact of trauma on the Autonomic Nervous System.
  • Increase understanding of social engagement and social defence states
  • Offer practical facilitation approaches for building trauma-informed environments.
  • Deepen awareness of Systemic Trauma
  • Explore Trauma Stewardship and pathways for practitioner support.
  • Recap learning from Day 1

Duration: 3 ½ hrs session

Who is it for: Practitioners within Arts, Culture and Education settings.

Capacity : Up to 25 people

You will be sent a Zoom link to the training 24 hours prior to it starting.
