About the Training
Join us for a virtual, three-day event designed for qualified psychological therapists trained in CBT, who want to update their knowledge and skills for this population of young people.
Our expert speakers, based at the Maudsley Hospital in South London, will share the latest research updates in this area, introduce a new supervision tool to help decide when it is safe enough to start memory work, and provide in-depth discussion of all treatment components. This will include adaptations for working with Complex PTSD and young people who are neurodivergent.
Attendees may include:
- Clinical Psychologists
- Other CAMHS professionals with post-graduate level training in CBT
Please note this training is not suitable for low-intensity practitioners/assistant psychologists/those without formal CBT training. If you do not have CBT training but would still like to learn more about trauma and PTSD in children and young people, please refer to our separate training event "Understanding Trauma and Preparing Young People for Trauma Treatment".
If you have any queries about your eligibility for this training course, please contact us on tad_training@slam.nhs.uk.
