Trauma Recovery Centre (TRC) Cambridge Information night

By Trauma Recovery UK

Overview

TRC Cambridge has just opened, offering trauma recovery focused therapy & mentoring! Join the Founder to hear more about TRC.

Who are we?

We are the Trauma Recovery Centre (TRC), and we have been running for 15 years, having had centres in 5 locations. Alongside our current centres in Bath, Oxford and Guernsey, we are just beginning in Cambridge!

The charity started in Bath in 2011 and we help children and young people by supporting them with 1:1 creative pyschotherapy and play therapy, as well as therapeutic mentoring. We also support the Parents and Carers with therapeutic parenting groups. We believe trauma recovery is possible and have data to evidence this too!

The charity was founded by Betsy de Thierry MBE and Betsy will be speaking at this information evening; to explain more about how we work, her Trauma Recovery Focused Model (TRFM®️ - the clinical approach used by the TRC), and how this can impact individuals, families and communities when we support people through Trauma Recovery. We hope you can join us, whether you have kindly already funded us - we would love to thank you in person, or if you are working with children & young people and want to hear more about how we work, or if you are interested in supporting us and how you can do so. Along with the TRC Cambridge team, we have a number of the HQ team who would love to meet you too.

Aboout the speaker

Betsy is an internationally renowned Trauma Recovery expert, who has authored 9 best selling books on Trauma Recovery and trained over 40,000 people across 32 nations in this pioneering clinical approach, the Trauma Recovery Focused Model (TRFM®️). Betsy (Elizabeth Julia de Thierry) received an MBE in the June 2025 honours list for Services to Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Trauma Recovery. Betsy is the CEO of her training and equipping organisation Trauma Recovery Global, and set up the TRC as a charity which delivers specialist therapy and mentoring in 2011. Betsy is passionate to see communites changed as families recover from traumatic experiences, and having helped thousands of people through the trauma recovery journey, Betsy would like to meet with those who also are passionate to see that for Cambridge, to see this dream realised through working together.
