About this event

This training will have three sessions. Wednesday(s) 22 February, 1 & 8 March 2022 from 12:45 – 15:00 each day.

Trauma Skilled Practice course is for staff with direct and frequent contact with people who may be survivors of trauma.   It is assumed that you have learned at an introductory level about trauma through the Level 1 workshop or equivalent similar courses.  In Health in Mind, this course is for all staff who are working directly supporting people.

  • Explore the trauma-informed principles.
  • Know the options for care and support.
  • Know what therapeutic or psychological support is available and where and how to refer them on.
  • Know the impact of trauma for different populations.
