London Designated Teacher Network Improving Educational Outcomes for Children Looked After
This session aims to give teachers and virtual school staff an introduction to the needs of unacompanied asylum seeking young people in their schools. Giving them the knowlege base they need to develop skills and tools they need to support new arrivals to thrive in their school community.
The London Network for Designated Teachers is working closely with Virtual School Heads, to share best practice and research on improving educational outcomes for children looked after.
This session is run in collaboration with Croydon Virtual School. The network has been set up as part of the London Schools Excellence Hub for looked after children, funded by the Greater London Authority.
