Travel Health is a complex field of practice and it is important to keep up to date. Objectives of this training session are to:
• Identify a new aspect of travel health advice that will have direct impact on delivering a high standard of care to your travellers
• Understand the value and importance of keeping up to date in the practice of travel health
• Describe a new development in the field of travel medicine that you were previously unaware of
Note, the sessions are for updates and those that are experienced in travel medicine. Registering and not attending will incur a £40 charge.
Jane Chiodini MSc RGN RM FFTM RCPS(Glasg) was the first nurse in England to obtain the MSc degree in travel medicine. She is a leading figure in the UK in this field of practice, was Chair of the RCN Travel Health Forum 2000-2006 and lead author on the RCN guidance: Travel health nursing, career and competence development . More recently in 2015 she was honoured with the title of Queen's Nurse from the Queen's Nursing Institute and was awarded the First International Society of Travel Medicine Nurse Professional Group Distinguished Nurse Leadership Award. Jane is passionate about teaching, writing and developing tools while continuing to also work still in primary care seeing travellers. Her great interest in technology has led her to the creation of a website www.janechiodini.co.uk which provides support to all healthcare professionals delivering travel health advice and at www.facebook.com/TravelHealthTraining @janechiodini and more recently the creation of e learning courses.

Registering for CEPN Courses:
Please ensure that before you register on to a training course that you have seeked permission from your line manager. Ensure that you are able to be released from your organisation for the duration of the training.
Un-notified Non- attendance will result in your Employers being charged. Employers will be charged for the individual(s) at the rate of the cost per person to commission the training (this will vary in accordance to the type of training)
If you are unable to attend training you have registered for, please cancel your place via Eventbrite. Email and telephone cancelations will not be accepted.
When cancelling a booked place on a training course please ensure that this is done 3 days prior to the training date, this will ensure that you place can be taken up by a fellow colleague.
On the day of the training please ensure that you arrive on time for registration. If you arrive more than 10minutes after the starting time you will be denied entry (practices will also be charged for this)
Please note that once you have finished the training you will be expected to complete an evaluation form for feedback purposes.
