About this event
This Friday, we'll be back for another quiz and once again Susan Schwartz will be leading a cocktail demo and class before we start.
On 15 May we'll be kicking things off at 6:30pm with a special cocktail making demo and class from the wonderful Susan Schwartz of A Lush Life Manual. We'll be making a together, so make sure to read on for the basic ingredients that you'll need.
After the cocktails, we'll be starting the quiz, as close to 7:00pm as we can.
Please note that this event is for the Traverse community and not a public event. Please do not share this invitation with people beyond those in our community.
Make sure to read the below for what you'll need for both the cocktails and the quiz!
FOR THE COCKTAILS
This week Susan is treating us to two stirred cocktails, showing us how to make a Negroni and Martini. There are a few ingredients that it will be useful to have, so if you can get as many of the below in as possible that will be perfect. As always, Susan will also let you know how to adapt the drinks if you don't have the chance to get everything in.
- Gin
- Vodka
- Olive Juice (from tinned olives in brine)
- Campari (Aperol can work as a backup)
- Sweet Vermouth
FOR THE QUIZ
- The quiz is open to teams of up to six. So you can team up with people, play with those you're at home with or just take part on your own.
- This is all done online, so we can’t check for cheaters, but please just don’t cheat!
- You can get your team together and chat over answers via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger etc or on the phone, however you want, just don't let others hear!
- We’ll run the quiz over Zoom, with answers through online Google forms. We'll accept one answer sheet per team, so make sure you designate a 'writer' for your team who fills in the answers and submits them.
- You will need to sign up to take part so we can send meeting invitations out, we'll contact those who register on EventBrite. You'll need to look out for an email from EventBrite a few hours ahead of the quiz with all the info in.
- All those signed up will receive an email with the Zoom invitation and link to answer forms
- Questions will be read out and displayed on the Zoom meeting, so you will need to be online to play. Please note that Zoom often works better with the downloaded app, but is OK with the web version too.
That’s it, so get your team together, free up the time between 6:30pm (BST) and around 9:30pm on Friday and get ready for a delicious cocktail and great quiz.
Drinking, as always, is not mandatory but is strongly recommended, you are not limited to the one cocktail.
