The Trauma Recovery Centre is delivering a conference this summer on Trauma Informed Practice, with keynote speakers covering implementation as a National Approach and Developmental Trauma and Recovery.
9.30am-9.45am: Welcome
The morning sessions will be from keynote speakers:
9.45am-11.30am: Graham Music, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist from the Tavistock and Portman, Author, Lecturer and Trainer
11.30-12pm: Coffee Break
12pm-1pm: Betsy de Thierry, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, Director of TRC and BdT Ltd, Author and International Trainer and Consultant
After lunch will be 2 workshop seminars time slots at 2pm and 3pm, with a choice of 5 to attend:
2pm-3pm: Jacky Mulveen, Project Manager of the Birmingham Freedom Project, Top tips from Birmingham Freedom project who facilitate the 'Mum and me' programme that helps mums understand the impact of trauma. This will be a small seminar group for practitioners who work with DV. Please see the 3pm session if you are interested but not currently working with DV.
2-3pm: Betsy de Thierry, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, Director of TRC and BdT Ltd, Author and International Trainer and Consultant: Working with shame with traumatised children
2-3pm: Hatty Hughes, Music Therapist. What does the music do? An experiential music therapy workshop exploring what music therapy is and how it is effective in working with trauma.

3-4pm: Emma Reeves, Art Psychotherapist, and Nicki Rosser, Play Therapist, & Teacher. Using creative arts across the trauma continuum
3pm-4pm: Cheryl Unthank, Senior paediatric nurse for 10 years with over 25 years experience nursing. Currently our TRC national parenting support worker lead and Oakside liaison lead. Mum of 3. Understanding the adolescent brain and how to understand attachment in those years.
