Treating Addiction With Psychedelics

Jake is a psychiatrist working in a Harm Reduction Team in NHS Lothian. He also works as a therapist, and is a teacher of mindfulness and breathwork. He has long been interested in psychedelic substances and for the past 5 years has been working in psychedelic education and helping to facilitate legal psychedelic retreats in the Netherlands. He was set to be a sub-investigator at the Edinburgh site of the Compass Pathways psilocybin for treatment-resistant depression trial, but this fell through when the Home Office failed to respond to NHS Lothian’s application for a Schedule 1 license.
