Plants and trees are our kin. They might on some level look static and green, but of course they are lively beings, sensing and communicating with the world around them, with their own life stories.
Autumn is a great time to be thinking about trees…
Come with me on a relaxed and informal expedition to meet the amazing trees at Headington Hill Park. I’ll guide us through some activities I enjoy, to explore connecting a bit more closely with trees and plants. sensing the world like a plant. Really it’ll be more of a sit than a walk.
You won’t learn tree names and identification. You will have the opportunity to start to see and feel the plants living around you differently.
If you’ve been before: this will be similar, but different - and this stuff gets better with practice! If you haven’t been before - welcome!
Bring: weather appropriate clothing, water, pen and paper, something to sit on or a stool if you’re not comfortable sitting on the ground. If the weather is looking unpredictable, check your email before you travel.
Location: Headington Hill Park (opposite South Parks) - you will receive an email with details of the meeting point when you register, do look at this carefully.
Please do sign up if there’s a good chance you can make it. If it turns out you can’t make it, no worries, please cancel your ticket in good time to allow someone else to take the spot.
