Join Greg Packman, Royal Parks Arboriculture Officer, for an interactive workshop on tree identification in Hyde Park. This session will begin indoors with a classroom-based introduction to key identification techniques before heading outdoors to put your new skills into practice.


  • Learn how to identify trees by their shape, structure, leaf patterns, bud patterns, and leaf shape.
  • Focus on deciduous broadleaf trees.
  • Gain practical experience in tree identification with guidance from an expert.
  • Explore the unique trees of Kensington Gardens and understand their role in the park’s landscape.
  • Enjoy a dealicious Lunch at Hyde Park
