Trees: a crop with many benefits

Agroforestry for livestock and arable farms

Wednesday 25 September 10am–3pm, Tayside Institute, Newburgh, Fife

An event looking at what trees can do to improve your farm business. Includes:

  • Managing existing woodland for livestock
  • Tree planting in an arable rotation
  • How to fund what you want to do
  • Speakers Stephen Briggs of Abacus Organics, Mike Strachan of Scottish Forestry and Iain Moss of Woodland Trust Scotland
  • Visit to Parkhill Farm where the Howisons are growing apple trees and establishing an arable rotation, and using native woodland as livestock shelter

Free of charge to farmers, land managers and foresters.
