Event description
The UK’s political parties support the planting millions if not billions of trees across the country. How will we make this a reality?

About this Event

Each of the UK’s political parties support the planting millions if not billions of trees across the country.

Trees are good for the climate because they absorb CO2. They also benefit our mental health (as discussed in our recent on-line debate on Environmental Well-Being After Lockdown). How are we going to turn these aspirations into reality? What can we learn about tree planting from other countries?

Ethiopia, one of the world’s poorest countries, planted c. 353 million trees on its National Tree Planting Day (29th July 2019.) How did they do it?
