Trees of Clapham Common
Join the SLBI on a walk exploring the trees of Clapham Common, including a range of local street trees.
The walk will explore the trees of the Common, looking at the different species, ages, habitats, and tree histories. It will also cover the mythology and folklore of trees as well as the ecological role that trees play.
The walk will also look at local street trees, the different species that can be found as street trees, what makes a good street tree and the challenges that they face.
About our walk leader
Greg Packman is a professional arboriculturist (tree manager) working in and around London. He is passionate about ancient trees and everything from tree ecology to tree folklore. Greg provides tree management advice, consultancy and training, as well as a delivering tree walks and talks.
