Is there parking?

Accepted Answer

There is parking for up to 14 cars but we also have a bike rack. We encourage people to walk/cycle or arrange lift sharing if travelling by car. (You are able to book car-sharing tickets as 'add-ons'.) The nearest train/bus station is Chingford, which is about 3 miles' journey along forest tracks.

Question 2

Can I bring my child?

Accepted Answer

This event is for adults only and due to the nature of activities, you will want to be able to immerse yourselves fully. Please arrange childcare if required.

Question 3

Is there a cafe or can I bring a picnic?

Accepted Answer

There is no cafe but we will be offering hot drinks and but you are welcome to bring a picnic and stay on after the event. (We will close our toilets at 1pm.)  Also nearby are the Owl Pub at Lippets Hill and High Beech visitor centre, carpark and toilets.

Are there toilets?

Accepted Answer

We have toilets (including accessible) at our main building for you to use on arrival and at the end of the event. However, the main session will be held in the woodland, with no immediate access to toilets. Please arrive in time to use the facilities before the 10am start.

Question 5

How accessible is the event?

Accepted Answer

The main event will be held in Epping Forest, with access across some rough/boggy terrain. Unfortunately, this area of the woodland can be challenging for wheelchairs. If you have mobility concerns, please contact us to discuss whether this is practical for you. We do have accessible toilets.

Question 6

Is this therapy?

Accepted Answer

This is a stand-alone wellbeing workshop, not therapy. It is designed to offer you some helpful techniques and principles, which you may also come across therapeutic settings. If you are interested in a more therapeutic programme, please contact us for more information.

Question 7

What should I wear/bring

Accepted Answer

The British weather can be changeable! Please check the weather forecast and dress appropriately, including wellies. We will spend some time sitting so you may want to consider bringing a small mat to insulate you from the ground/log. You may want to bring a drink, snack, notebook, pens/pencils.

Do you cancel in 'bad weather'

Accepted Answer

We run events in most weather conditions so please check the forecast and come prepared! In very high winds, we cancel for safety reasons and we will contact you directly.

Question 9

When should I arrive?

Accepted Answer

We will start at 10am so please arrive in time to use the toilets and change footwear etc. If you arrive late, we may be in the forest.
