Venture into the high places of Blaenau Gwent on this moderate 6.4 km guided wellbeing walk through Trefil – a striking upland village surrounded by dramatic limestone quarries, rugged moorland and sweeping views.
Led by The Wellsynergy Project with support from ROC Adventure, this walk invites you to explore the geological power and industrial heritage of this unique landscape, while creating space to reflect, reconnect and recharge in nature’s vastness.
What to Expect:This circular route features a mix of open upland tracks, stony paths, and moorland edges. As we walk, we’ll pause to explore stories of labour, stone, and transformation – from the working lives once shaped by the quarry to the ancient geology that defines the area. This walk balances gentle physical challenge with mindful moments and rich storytelling, all set against a backdrop of big skies and panoramic views.
